The exhibition, "KAZE (wind)" which I collaborated with, will be opened from tomorrow at the gallery select shop "ONIKO TERRA" in Rokko, Kobe! It's held till 8/5. Please visit the shop if you get a chance to go Rokko!

 オープン当初から、ペイントバッグを置いていただいている神戸のギャラリー•セレクト ショップ 「ONIKOTERRA」さんで、初コラボというかたちで開催される展示会 “風” が、明日、７/２５日からスタートします！　神戸にお越しのさいはぜひぜひお立ち寄りください！

 About couple months ago, this customer bought my paint bag at Hyakumanben craft fair and she even wrote to me an email at the same day. She told me that she was planning to open her own select shop and interested in having my works in her shop. This plan is now became a reality and her shop will be open at May.5th in Rokko/Kobe! My bags will be also in the shop! I usually paint fabrics after cutting them in a bag size. But this time, I painted the fabric first and cut them afterward. Each bag has a serial number to prove that the bag is a part of one painting which exist only one in this world!!! I went to Kobe to help displaying the other day!

 数ヶ月前、京都の手づくり市でバッグを買っていただいたのがご縁で知り合ったお客さまが、今回5/8にセレクトショップ「ONIKO TERRA」を神戸、六甲にオープンします！ そこでで作品を扱っていただくことになり、今回はベージュとブルーのペイントバッグを作りました！今までとは趣向を変えて、一枚の布の状態でペイントしたものを、切り分けてバッグにしています。それぞれのバッグにはナンバータグが付けてあり、それぞれ世界に一つのバッグですっ！ 先日、納品＋ディスプレー作業の為に、六甲までいってました！

朝には雨が降り、午後からは強い風が吹くなかでの手づくり市でした。
風に吹き飛ばされてしまいそうなテントを押さえつつ、何とか無事に今日も楽しく出店させていただきました！
おこしいただいた皆様、ありがとうございました！

次回は4/5(木)、梅小路公園での出店になります！

I had a great time at the handmade fair at Hyakumanben this time!
6am in this time of the year, it's still dark, but as always, we run for the spot by the sound of the whistle. I don't like this system so much, but I could set my booth on the left front of the main hall this time, and that was actually a very good spot! A lot of people stopped by and I could made a good sale. Somehow white bags are not sold at all, thought....
Anyway, thank you very much for everyone stopped by at my booth and hope to see you again at the next fair at Umekouji-koen!!!

今回の百万遍手づくり市、前回のリベンジできました！
この季節の朝の６時はまだ真っ暗です。それでもここでの場所取りは、いつも通り笛の音でみんなが走ります！私はまたも出遅れましたが。。本堂の正面、左側に場所確保。これが案外と良い場所！たくさんの方々が立ち寄ってくださいました！３つのラックにいっぱいだったペイントバッグが、終わる時には、半分以下に減っていました！！！なぜか白いバッグは売れませんが。。。
お越しいただいた皆さま、本当にありがとうございました！
次回は、梅小路公園の一木手づくり市に出店します。

今月の１５日にまた、京都の百万遍での手づくり市に出店します。

そして、１２月１日には、こちらも京都の梅小路公園での手づくり市にも、参加します。

Took a good beating!!!! ^^;

Yesterday was the Handmade Fair at Hyakumanben in Kyoto. I arrived to the Chion Temple where the fair was hold, before 6am..but there were already a lot of people waiting to get a good spot. It seemed to be by a tacit understanding, people who have been having booth at the fair for a long time normally take a same spot by the whistle at 6am, and then people who is new to the fair like me need to find an empty field to get a spot for the day. After the whistle, I was bewildered where to go, then ladies who seems to be regular to the fair asked me if I found a spot and suggested to put a sheet at an empty spot near their spots! They are very kind and helpful. Thank you! So, I was able to find a spot without any trouble and the day has began... Well...yesterday was a very very hot day and my booth was located in a very hot spot with out shadow so it seemed to be a quite difficult to get people to stop by,.. even my friend who helped me and I almost became heat stroke.. Also, I guess I set the price a bit too high for this kind of fair... so I took a good beating this time..But, anyway, I learned a lot from this experience and even with this horrible hot weather, some people kindly stop by at my booth and gave a good comments on my work. I had a really good time talking to those costumers and especially, thank you very very much for those who bought my pieces!!

昨日は京都の百万遍さんでの手作り市でした！６時前に会場である知恩寺に到着しましたが、もう既に凄い人。みんなよい出店スポットを取る為に待っているのです。６時の笛の音と同時に、常連さんはだいたいいつもと同じスポットにブースをかまえるようですが、初心者の私のような人たちは、空いてるところを探し、なんとかブースをゲットできるのです！あまりの一瞬の出来事に若干呆然としていると、常連らしきご夫人方が、あたな、場所は見つかったの？と声をかけてくださり、あそこ空いてるわよ〜！って、みなさんとっても親切でした！そんなわけで、さぁ、一日の始まり！
なにせとっても暑い一日で、ブースを一軒一軒止まって見るのも、億劫になるぐらいの暑さ。私も手伝ってくれた友達の危なく熱中症になるところでしたっ　^^;;　それに、このての手作り市には、若干値段設定が高かったのかな？実際に買ってもらえるまでにはいたらず。。今回は惨敗でした。。それでも、これも経験！いい勉強になりました〜！こんな大変は暑さの中でも、しっかり立ち止まって見て行ってくださったお客様もいらっしゃったし、作品を気に入ってくださったお客様もいらっしゃいました！
本当に、本当にありがとうございました！！！

I'm almost ready for the handmaid fair in Kyoto! Made more bags, more pot holder and coasters! The weather seems to be OK and I'm getting really excited!!


京都での手作り市に向けての制作もほぼ完了。。かな？色物のバッグと、鍋つかみ、それにコースターも作ってみました。当日の天気も良さそうだし、やっとわくわくドキドキしてきました〜！
