Bags I have been making these days!

　The reason I couldn't sell almost nothing last time is, I think the price setting was a it too high. So I have been making reasonable price back lately! These are just simple shape bags with hand painting!! I'm having fun making them!

　前回の売れなかった原因は、値段設定がちょっと高過ぎたんでしょうね〜！もう少し低料金でうれるようなもの。。ということで、シンプルな形のペイントバッグ作ってます！楽しんでます〜！

A tunic with wood print fabric!

I made a tunic today which was ordered by my friend. It looks very cute with wood print fabric. I want one for myself, but... I guess this print is not for me..;;

今日は友人からのオーダーのチュニックを作りました。木のプリント柄のかわいい布です。かわいいから自分用にも欲しいけど。。こんなプリント柄は、きっと似合わないな〜涙

Took a good beating!!!! ^^;

Yesterday was the Handmade Fair at Hyakumanben in Kyoto. I arrived to the Chion Temple where the fair was hold, before 6am..but there were already a lot of people waiting to get a good spot. It seemed to be by a tacit understanding, people who have been having booth at the fair for a long time normally take a same spot by the whistle at 6am, and then people who is new to the fair like me need to find an empty field to get a spot for the day. After the whistle, I was bewildered where to go, then ladies who seems to be regular to the fair asked me if I found a spot and suggested to put a sheet at an empty spot near their spots! They are very kind and helpful. Thank you! So, I was able to find a spot without any trouble and the day has began... Well...yesterday was a very very hot day and my booth was located in a very hot spot with out shadow so it seemed to be a quite difficult to get people to stop by,.. even my friend who helped me and I almost became heat stroke.. Also, I guess I set the price a bit too high for this kind of fair... so I took a good beating this time..But, anyway, I learned a lot from this experience and even with this horrible hot weather, some people kindly stop by at my booth and gave a good comments on my work. I had a really good time talking to those costumers and especially, thank you very very much for those who bought my pieces!!

昨日は京都の百万遍さんでの手作り市でした！６時前に会場である知恩寺に到着しましたが、もう既に凄い人。みんなよい出店スポットを取る為に待っているのです。６時の笛の音と同時に、常連さんはだいたいいつもと同じスポットにブースをかまえるようですが、初心者の私のような人たちは、空いてるところを探し、なんとかブースをゲットできるのです！あまりの一瞬の出来事に若干呆然としていると、常連らしきご夫人方が、あたな、場所は見つかったの？と声をかけてくださり、あそこ空いてるわよ〜！って、みなさんとっても親切でした！そんなわけで、さぁ、一日の始まり！
なにせとっても暑い一日で、ブースを一軒一軒止まって見るのも、億劫になるぐらいの暑さ。私も手伝ってくれた友達の危なく熱中症になるところでしたっ　^^;;　それに、このての手作り市には、若干値段設定が高かったのかな？実際に買ってもらえるまでにはいたらず。。今回は惨敗でした。。それでも、これも経験！いい勉強になりました〜！こんな大変は暑さの中でも、しっかり立ち止まって見て行ってくださったお客様もいらっしゃったし、作品を気に入ってくださったお客様もいらっしゃいました！
本当に、本当にありがとうございました！！！

More bags and more more~~!!

I'm almost ready for the handmaid fair in Kyoto! Made more bags, more pot holder and coasters! The weather seems to be OK and I'm getting really excited!!


京都での手作り市に向けての制作もほぼ完了。。かな？色物のバッグと、鍋つかみ、それにコースターも作ってみました。当日の天気も良さそうだし、やっとわくわくドキドキしてきました〜！

Today's work

　I made two small sailcloth bags and blue bags in the same shape with Indian cotton. Also, I made two pot holders again with wasted cloth!!

　今日も帆布でちょっと小さめバッグつくりました。そして、インド綿の厚手のぬのでも同じ形のバッグ、作ってみました！帆布の残り布で、鍋つかみも作ってみちゃいました〜！

more bags

I made another bag which is a bit bigger than yesterday's one. Also, made two small bags with waste cloth. I guess they are cute, too!

今日は昨日よりも少し大きめのバッグを作りました。そして、端切れでもちっちゃなバッグ作ってみました〜！いいんじゃないかと思います！

sailcloth bags!

　Today, I made bags with sailcloth. I designed a little pocket outside of the bag and it's good to put cell-phone!! I like it very much!!

　今日は、帆布のバッグを作りました。外側にも携帯を入れれるぐらいの大きさのポッケをつけて、かわいい感じです。気に入りました〜！

kitchen mittens and display racks

　Today, I made display racks with my assistant (actually he is my dad..he can make anything!!) and some kitchen mittens for the handmade fair!

　今日は、手作り市の為に、うちのアシスタントと陳列ラックを作りました！（アシスタントというのは実は家のパパさんで、なんでもつくちゃう名人です）
そして、商品用に鍋つかみ、いくつかつくってみました。売れるかな〜、売れるといいな〜！

Blue Dice Bag

　I got an order to make a Dice Bag again. This shape seems to be good for mothers who have to carry a lot of stuff for their babies~~. This time, her request was only to use blue so I picked few different colors and added dot print fabric to be a good accent! I think it is cute but not too much cute~~!! Good, good.

　Oh, by the way, I'm accepted to Handmade Fair at Hyakumanben in Kyoto. I will be having a booth there on Aug. 15th! If you are around, please come visit!!!

　またまた、サイコロバッグのオーダー、承りました！どうやらこの形、たくさんの荷物をベイビーの為に運ばないといけないママさん達にとっても重宝してもらえるらしいです！今回の注文では、ブルー系でということだったので、いくつかの布の組み合わせで、ドットがらの布をアクセントに、こんなバッグにしてみました！

　あ、そうそう。９月１５日、京都は百万遍さんの「手作り市」に出展します。お近くへお越しの方は、ぜひぜひお立ち寄りくださいませ〜〜！
