A Happy Birthday to You!!

　My best friend's kid will have her 7th birthday in a few days. I bought a spoon for her and another one for her little sister and also "Go-go-car spoon" for her little brother as well. These spoons are by Atsushi Sakai from Sajiya in Kunitachi.
These spoons are so cute and beautiful to have their own lack to be displayed so I made a lack for these spoons!
I hope they will enjoy and be happy!!

　もうすぐ、親友のところの長女ちゃんのお誕生日です。プレゼントは”匙屋”のさかいあつしさんのスプーンに決めました。　次女には一回り小さい同じタイプのスプーン、一番下の弟には、“ゴーゴーカースプーン”を、セットにして送ることにしました。あまりにもかわいらしいスプーンたちなので、おまけに“３つのスプーンを飾るための棚”なんぞ、作ってみちゃいました〜！

Last fixing!

　My new studio is ready, but only one thing that I couldn't feel right about was the handrail for the slide door. It was fit on by my dad and uncles... they said, "this looks good!" "nice and big!"..they seemed pretty satisfied when they put it...BUT, I really didn't like it...and was wishing to find something else for the handle to pull the door. A few days ago, I visited a shop and found this antique knob. I'm not sure what it was, but I looks perfect! I changed the base wood and painted in brown and put the knob for the handle! I'm feeling much better!!!

　スタジオも完成して、すでに陶芸作業に取りかかれる状態なのですが、どうしても引き戸につけられて、手すりが気に入らなくて．．．手伝ってくれていた、父や叔父達が、このハンドルをどこかから引っ張りだしてきて、これがちょうどいい〜、大きくて、握りやすくて〜！なんて言いながら、かなり満足そうに取り付けてくれていたのですが．．．やっぱり。。。
どうも、しっくりこなかった．（笑）
何か良いものはないかと探していたら、アンティックショップでこの、何に使われていたかも良くわからない、ノブのようなもの見つけました〜！　早速、土台の板を張り替えて、茶色に塗って、取り付けました！
良い感じになったと思いませんか〜！

reforming yarn socks

I bought this yarn socks in Tokyo. I fell in love with this plus mark on the side, but I knew that I wouldn't wear them as socks. So, I reform it to leg-warmer!

東京で一目惚れして、このプラスマーク入りに毛糸の靴下かっちゃいました〜！
それでも、靴下としてははかないな〜っと思っていたので、レッグウォーマーにへんしんさせました〜！

My own studio is ready!

Finally, I painted the slide door in orange! Now my very own studio is ready!! I will start working with clay again and hopefully, I can do first firing with my new kiln in a few weeks!!

やっと、扉をオレンジに塗りました〜！これで、工房完成、いよいよ陶芸制作再会です〜！2ー３週間のうちには、新しい窯での焼成が出来るといいな〜っと思っています！

Tomoshibito no Tsudoi in Osaka

I went to Osaka today to check the craft fair, "Tomoshibito no Tsudoi" in Osaka. This is the one I applied but couldn't get in. Originally, the fair supposed to be opened for two days but because of the bad weather, it was called off on Saturday so they only open for today. Even today, it started to rain from afternoon but fortunately, I could go and check around all tents before the rain started too hard. My friend, Mr. S got a sheet for this fair and he was doing good. I bought a coffee cup from him and bought metal costar goes with it from Mr. Ueda. I also bought a case of chopstick rest by Mr. Satake, which is very cool and the thing which grabbed my heart today was a wood rice paddle by Ms. Kakimoto... it's so ....ummm...I don't know the word to describe this feeling.. it's so fit? in my hand...I couldn't put it down...haha

今日は大阪で開催されていた”灯びとの集い”堺クラフトフェアーに行ってきました！実はこれ、私も応募して、落選したクラフト展です。
予定では、土日と２日間の開催でしたが、台風警報のため？日曜日一日の開催となってしまったようです。
友達のS君が出展していて、いい手応えを感じているようでした。彼からはコーヒーカップを買い、それに合わせて、上田安伸の鉄のコースターをまずゲット。それと、佐竹弘章さんのとってもかわいいキのお家のお箸置きセット。それに、今回の大ヒット、垣本圭子さんの木のしゃもじ！これ、何とも言えないんですが、フォルムがキレイで、手にとってしまったら話せなくなってしまいました！

Almost there!!

　It took a while to paint walls inside of the super house, but now it's all white! Today, we stained plywoods and put them on the floor. It's almost done!! I asked my dad's friend who works at iron factory to make metal shelf and table frames for me.
Well... from tomorrow, it might start raining again, so when the weather become better, bring all shelf and table in and ...tada~~~! My studio will be ready!!! I can't wait!!!

　内装の壁を白く塗るのに、ちょっと時間がかかりました！　今日は、床のベニアをステンで色づけをして、一気に貼りました！内装、ほぼ完成です！　知り合いの鉄工所さんにお願いしている、棚と机のフレームも週末の雨が去ればいよいよそれらを運び込んで、いよいよ〜！　工房の完成です〜〜！待ちきれません♪
